'Cross Eyed

So the 'cross season starts in ernest tomorrow. Bear Creek was a muddy, twisted, 90 degree version of a prologue to the 'cross season... Tomorrow I'm doubling up at Westwood velo, racing C's then B's. Westwood was my very first 'cross race two seasons ago- i can remember it so vividly: 20 feet after the start i got a bit overzealous and biffed on pavement, only to have the entire C field run over me. Literally. I was shelled the entire race, fell about sixteen times, and probably came in next to last. I also had a blast. ever since then I've grown to love 'cross in the same way that i love Bacon, George Hincapie, and Phil Collins (ie: not in a healthy way).

Revisting westwood is going to be fun. Hopefully I'll have a bit of redemption, although a Bacony celebration isn't looking too good, judging by the riders registered in the "C" field... (that goes out to YOU, prensky and slokar...)

All i can do is embrocate, squeeze into the skinsuit, and take it to funky town.

Hopefully it doesn't turn into a clusterfuck...

Zing!
